GM is testing out a new vehicle ownership model for their high-end Cadillac brand. With this new program, subscribers can get access to 10 different models of car and change vehicles up to 18 times a year. The cost for this program is $1,500/month.
The service also delivers the vehicle to your when you opt to change vehicles, making it so easy to try out different cars, or also switch to a larger vehicle for a longer trip versus city driving.
The trials seem to be proceeding well, offering the chance for GM to extend customer relationships with the brand.
We expect to see a proliferation of these sharing models over the next few years and, once vehicles become fully autonomous, it will provide an even more compelling solution at a lower cost as vehicles can arrive on demand.
